The Vermont Senate passed a bill to reform the universal health system in a 21-8, largely along party lines Monday after five hours in the Green Room. (Kevin Mullin, R-Rutland, voted yes. Bobby Starr, D-North Troy, senators voted to resume nay.The Bill at third reading on Tuesday, the spirit of compromise was in order and in them.

With a little holiday break, the senators seemed to be in a spirit of conciliation on Monday – despite complaints from the addition of more than a day to your regular schedule Tuesday through Friday. The stress of spending all the money accounts of the night sessions this week took its toll – on Thursday, his troops were in riot mode. Senate President Pro Tem John Campbell seemed to breathe a sigh of relief today in the initial phase of one of the bills more complex and controversial move by the Legislature – 2006 as the last effort at reform.

In fact, the changes addressed by the legislature as the bill has passed second reading in no brainers. Among the seven who were taken, five amendments were withdrawn and two friends who have been approved by the Senate Committee on Health and Welfare. The second sub-members of the armed forces who have insurance through TRICARE support free Green Mountain. One of the changes are more detailed conflict of interest requirements for members of the Green Mountain Guard.

(Sen. Randy Brock, R-Grand Isle / Franklin, Shumlin wants the administration to report on the financing plans as of September Vince Illuzzi exempt employers 50 and 100 workers in the trade. Changes should be taken Tuesday at from a proposal to form a Galbraith Health Insurance Company of Vermont, or the public insurance option. 15, 2012.) A proposal by Sen. most changes, however, turn around access issues (movement of persons here in droves to enjoy the state single-payer system?), questions of costs (the companies will pay more attention now?) and concern about the funding mechanism that wouldnt be revealed until 2013, after the next elections in 2012.

Such a description published in, "he said, was the system of medical Vermont – in 1929. Claire Ayer, D-Addison, opened the discussion with a description of a system with inadequate access to residents of Vermont, the lack of preventive care , no central agency to control costs, and a propensity rule producing study after study, with no results. Sen

It is an opportunity not to lose a billion dollars .. Yesterday cited a study by the Vermont Joint Fiscal Office, Steve Kappel, a physician financial analyst, and the Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Administration. In combination with funds from the Affordable Care Act, the savings are possible within the health system. The math works, "said Ayer.

He compared the government to put pressure on taxpayers or less safe Shumlin companies to force consumers to go to a supermarket where is the number of eggs that could buy rationed .. Brock has accused the federal and the state of rising health care costs through regulation, interference and bad policy.

Last Claire Ayer, H.201, health reform, John Campbell, Peter Galbraith, Randy Brock, a single payer | 1 response.

The best way to go about trimming the budget is to use a scalpel not an axe.- Sue Butler, Bedford. For those of you in favor of all these cuts.I’m curious, when all these cuts are made what is the actual savings to an average taxpayer? Can someone tell me that? Will we even notice? Will all these cuts actually help our economy if hundreds lose their jobs and can no longer afford to buy groceries, shop for clothes, – you know – keep the economy moving.Someone made a comment a few days ago that I thought hit the nail on the head.

"Isn’t it ironic that the news story right below this one is about the growing homeless population in New Hamshire? Sure will be interesting to see how much this grows with the Scrooge budget the extremist republicans have crafted! (As Scrooge said, "Let them die and decrease the surplus population!")"- Bill, CandiaNow your getting it Bill. Just think of all that tax revenue NOT going to the State’s coffers being doled out to you.Now if Bush was in the Oval Office.do you think you would be screaming Bush’s fault!- The Other Michael, Manchester. Those homeless you mention were private sector employees.

The state only has so much money and now it has run out – $900 Million in debt.I’ll bet you were one those that voted to lay off the less senior employee so you would give up nothing. This is the fallout from that.- TAXED OUT, NH. Sally Field, ManchesterWelcome to the private sector for the past 10 years. Private companies have been taking back all that was promised to its employees also, so they can stay in business. So just like every one else it is time for you, the public sector, to start giving some back. Taxes just continue to grow.

"Some cure themselves," Weyler told about 150 lawmakers. Rep. Kenneth Weyler, chairman of the House Finance Committee, defended the cuts, saying that not all mental illness requires treatment. "Some of us feel there have been some abuses in the mental health system."——————————–I am neither a republican or democrat, but that said, spoken like a true far right wing GOP nut job who has no heart and cares about nothing but themselves and worships there GOD, the almighty dollar!!.but don’t be offended, as I am sure we will find some idiotic statement from someone from the far left.- Jim, Manchester NH.

So it is basically a bogus cut.- Bob H, Londonderry. I think I may be missing something here, but I don’t understand how cutting 1,500 jobs, the majority of which have been vacant (and therefore $ not being spent on them) for the past several years during hiring freezes will save money?- Confused, ManchesterYou are not confused at all. Even so they have still gone way over the budget. Odds are these positions even if not filled have been in every budget since the beginning of time. If not filled, they are a cushion. You are right on target, they just don’t want you to realize you are.

New Hampshire is one of the most business friendly states in the Union. Cut the jobs of the people that teach your kids and fix your roads. The taxes you pay are about the lowest of any state. Your wallet is empty but not that of those with their foot on your neck. How they are laughing at you as they massage their stock portfolios.- Robert, Deerfield. That makes a lot of sense. Still unemployment is high and corporations are awash with cash. Which one of them makes the $250,000 a year, each year, every year? But by all means fight among your selves for the crumbs and crusts thrown away by the mighty. Give them more money. We have one of the highest incomes of any state.

Now that the NH house is the laughing stock of the nation, and the brunt of jokes around the country, maybe some of them will see some of these narrow minded posters on here and they can get some national attention.- Robert Thompson, Manchester. Maybe the hacks here that think the loss of 1500 jobs is okay. Some job creation here. When unemployment reaches 10 to 15 percent in NH, maybe you will understand the ripple affect of this budget being proposed by the Republicans in Concord. Revenues will go down when those unemployed cannot buy anything, and remember the state pays for unemployment, so not a lot of savings there.

These are promises and true New Hampshire residents are not dishonest and break these promises just because someone doesn’t like it.By the way, I have been a true Republican for many years, but this current crop of legislators makes me ill. Hopefully, common sense will return before it is too late.- Bill, Candia. This is another example of how the extremist republicans are ruining America. These republicans have gradually been eroding our basic rights for a number of years (including the frightenly Facist "Patriot Act"). Now they want to eliminate the right to form a union and have a collective voice in their working conditions! Amazing! And, just to keep things in perspective, the retirement system and health insurance benefits were openly and honestly negotiated between the workers and the legislature.

Mr. The people of Kingston should be ashamed of having voted you into office.- greta, wheretheheckistan, NH. Your comments are ignorant. Weyler, please don’t try to tell those of us who have worked in mental health longer than you have been a legislator, how to do our jobs. Thank you, Hernando.

It’s your own GREED that is causing these layoffs. We want to reduce your perks (especially generous health care subsidies) and padded pensions. This is true at all levels of government. We don’t want layoffs. Here in Manchester, the police take the cake.- Ashley2, Manchester.

This debate is just beginning, "said a spokeswoman for the House John Boehner in a statement." We keep our word to the American people and continue to work to repeal this work that destroys the right to health and replace it with sensible reforms to reduce costs and increase access without putting more Americans out of work. "The house, which (unlike the Senate) is run by Republicans, has passed a bill to repeal it.

What has passed with bipartisan support, but still must pass the House of Representatives. Even if the effort to repeal the overall success of the Republican Senate bill, the House voted to repeal an aspect of the issue: a provision requiring companies to submit a Tax Form 1099 for any provider with that there were at least $ 600 on business value.

The office of Attorney General JB Van Hollen of Wisconsin, one of the states reported to reverse the Affordable Care Act, sent this statement categorical statement of the law, "death" of their condition when taken by a higher court, stating that it frees the government of any state and all its responsibilities to enforce the law.

This means that, in Wisconsin, the federal law on health care is dead – unless and until it is revived by an appeals court. This means in practice is an issue that I have a feeling of Governor Walker, attorney for the state ".. In fact, New York has been relieved of her duties or obligations created under the law of federal health care. Judge Vinson said the care of the health law invalid and stated in its decision that a declarative sentence is the functional equivalent of a court order.

Now that the law is "dead" New York will return the money or reject any federal grant? "The state government of the laws of another state died doing the same? If so, how much money you have to lose? What impact will his consistuents? This is an online survey useful. This allusion to a new line of criticism from the Democrats can use, governments must do what other states of Wisconsin did. Affordable Care Act has helped nearly 40 million dollars in federal grants in Wisconsin.

It's free. Why are states that do not want?. Affordable Care Act has helped nearly 40 million dollars in federal grants in Wisconsin. Now that the law is "dead" New York will return the money or reject any federal grant? "The state government of the laws of another state died doing the same? If so, how much money you have to lose? What impact will his consistuents? It is a very useful research online ."====================================== = E, we must bear in mind that all this money just tore a money tree somewhere. "This refers to a new line of criticism from the Democrats can use, governments should, like other states of Wisconsin did.

The participating States, Florida, Wisconsin and in the process, through its governors and / or attorneys general, are: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska , Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and (last but not least, especially from my Dark Lord Cheney) of Wyoming.

Rube is a craft goldbergian violate the laws of mathematics and finance hc, the reality of the purple. regardless of cause. regardless of whether or not its repeal. Relax friend. the fact that they are doing to resolve doc kills the cost curve. will cost three times what they say and not even half of the revenue will be generated. cadillac revenues are false, totally. this is the faction that believes that 2 +2 = 10. never work. You see, when the entire Medicare budget because of the current block before the meat arrives ObamaCare, all these discussions will be moot. which means that they do not exist rveenues. as: What do you think? things are about to change the man. exceptions are an example. Once in place, nobody is going to write these plans, it "fixes" that do not support the load. ObamaCare but he is already dead. Peace brother. working in an imaginary country in the liberal mind, where all their stuff works. will not suffice. not in the real world. may not be a platypus, a mammal that puts EGSS. it is a do-do bird. can not because the job. and has no unintended consequences. February 2 = 4 people already know. once the actual costs turn against them (if you come through the courts and repeal movemet) The Crash and Burn your weight. Ask someone who has studied the numbers, know nothing about risk management or financing Healtcare / delivery. ObamaCare laugh. is not takin the field. Some people do not know yet. just relax. the Spruce Goose.

And I suppose we should end k-12 public education, too? How about fire service? I mean, your neighbor has a hose, all should be good, right? Public libraries? Public works? Government guaranteed health care, where everyone pays in what they can and everyone benefits really isn't that unusual of an idea, in fact, my friend in Canada, the UK, AU, etc, etc all seem to be unwilling to trade health care benefits with me.

If you want great health care, riches, etc, you better get to work and make it happen. You see, we've all been dealt a hand, and how we play that hand is up to us. Health care is a privilege, NOT a right. If I was rich, I'd live in luxury. But I'm not rich, so I don't expect to get the same benefits as someone who is rich. Life isn't fair. Oh boo hoo. Otherwise, accept what you make out of my life. If health care was a right, what about access to clean water? Food? Shelter? A vehicle for transportation? Clothing? Americans need to be more thankful for what we do have, instead of always holding out our hand for freebies.

Are you talking about the companies that charge a spleen and a kidney to insure kids? My great nephew who was born four weeks premature (without ANY medical issues whatsoever) had his parents scrambling to find this AFFORDABLE health care you speak of for their son because the insurance companies wanted to charge $800/month to insure JUST the kid! It was $1200 for the whole family! Are you kidding me? Is THAT what people consider affordable? They called his prematurity a pre-existing condition. So because his parents were 100% unable to afford insurance for themselves AND their son, they were forced to drop their own health coverage in favor of having coverage for their newborn son.

Right now, all they have to do is wait for you to get sick, which will happen, and you will pay. What you people fail to realize is that the health care industry doesn't want a change. Or you die or suffer, which means little to them anyway as you're not a paying customer in which case. And if you don't get sick, they're more than happy to hedge a bet on your fear of getting sick and seeing if they can hook you that way.

BTW a premium for health insurance would be sooooo much more expensive (for me) than what I spend . "destined to get sick?" What kind of belief system is THAT? NOT true. YOU get sick BECAUSE of "sick" thinking. Take care and do YOUR thing, but leave me to MINE. There are absolutely times when an American SHOULDN'T compromise, and for ME it is on the health care bill mandate that I must buy health insurance. Look at your wording: "I'm so SICK of republicans ." Duh . Like you, I don't like what Reps are doing or the way they're holding Americans hostage, but the healthcare bill portion that would force ME to buy it I ABSOLUTELY OBJECT TO because it doesn't and won't pay for the health care I use. or have spent for decades on health care. It is NOT about being politically Dems or Reps, Dan. Dan . Geezzz .

If I was rich, I'd live in luxury. You see, we've all been dealt a hand, and how we play that hand is up to us. Oh boo hoo to those complaining about not getting health care now. But I'm not rich, so I don't expect to get the same benefits as someone who is rich. Life isn't fair. If health care was a right, what about access to clean water? Food? Shelter? A vehicle for transportation? Clothing? Americans need to be more thankful for what we do have, instead of always holding out our hand for freebies. Health care is a privilege, NOT a right. If you want great health care, riches, etc, you better get to work and make it happen. Otherwise, accept what you make out of my life.

Personally, I was ok about universal health care, or at least getting used to the idea. But then I remembered something. I'm so sick of republicans thinking that there all right and everyone else is wrong, and democrats who think that their right and everyone else is wrong. I remembered a certain judge in California named Vaughn R. Message to liberals: This is how it feels. At first, I thought that it was kind of sad that after all of the mess that this country went through just to make this happen, to go away in a flash. Americans are supposed to be good at compromise, instead this what we've become. This how it feels to have one guy completely screw up something that you supported. Walker who not long ago overturned a certain prop about marriage.

All this sniping about people who don't buy health insurance having to pay up-front for their medical bills makes me wonder: What about someone like me who has been unemployed, looking for work, barely surviving, and has been denied Medicaid coverage twice? What about people like me who can't afford insurance and have been denied the options they have applied for?.

We already have healthcare for people who don't work- it's called Medicaid. Many don't earn enough to buy insurance. I am confused by people who say they don't want government insurance and that the people who would receive it are somehow lazy. What about people who don't get insurance through work? They aren't lazy.

The "baby boom" is too large, and the rising cost of health insurance is too steep. Today, the deficit threatens almost certainly too large to be closed only with growth. However, growth could make a big difference.

Therefore, when you register for health care next year, "not just go on autopilot," said Wendy Barnes, an expert on eHealthInsurance.com health insurance consumers.
