Bush against Labor candidates have been confirmed unanimously, and Mr. Bush made a total of 171 recess appointments. Today is only 2 and requires 3 to do everything, he is able to function. Republicans blocked two candidates nominated President Obama 7 months ago. Background: The NLRB should have 5 members of its board. The President has the power to make appointments to pause when the Senate is not in session.

The Chamber of Commerce of the United States and the National Association of Manufacturers have attacked the doctrine of Becker to give more power to unions and has sent letters to senators and forces them to block the appointment. The Senate voted 52-33, eight votes over the 60 needed to end debate and act on the appointment of Becker, who was awaiting confirmation of more than six months.
